The Zoo® NYC fragrances compose a menagerie of personalities like exciting creations in a zoo. They were launched in 2017 and are housed in four The Zoo® NYC habitats: Fresh, Sexy, Forbidden, and Raw. Each requires constant feeding with a large palette of ingredients sourced from around the world.

They are composed by Christophe to deliver comfort, surprise, or intrigue. Each will shine some fun and ignite a dream with a twist: to be found in our vivid descriptions under each item.

Shipped in reusable natural black woolen pouches, they long for you to unleash them. Have fun, sniff back, and relax 🚀

FRESH SEXY RAW FORBIDDEN

-The Zoo NYC Collections-

FRESH

Easy to wear, a crisp breeze, good energy for you and the people around you.

Drench yourself in FRESH as a wake-up call, to stay motivated in the office, and to

keep the mood cool in overheated rooms.

RAW

Blunt, straightforward, explicit. What you see is what you get.

Wear RAW because you love the purity of the ingredients and the honesty of

fragrance without the frills.

SEXY

Deep and sensual - full-bodied and sure to leave an impression without weighing you down.

Watch people around you as you are enrobed these fragrances because SEXY is

for when you are on a mission.

FORBIDDEN

You like to go against accepted standards. You're comfortable breaking the paradigm.

These smells are banned by experts and countries alike due to their ingredient content, proportions, or creation methods.

Become FORBIDDEN in public or whispering behind closed doors.

The Perfumery Code of Ethics is currently based on an honor system. There is no commitment beside what is expressed below. Perfumers are committed personally, besides the formula's owners as well as brands who may also commit. Its eight principles are as follows:

I. Originality

We pledge to create or promote original olfactory forms. Borrowed forms shall have their original creators and formula owners named and rewarded. Plagiarism is not tolerated.

II. Art and Design

We believe that olfactory forms are works of the mind and fragrances are pieces of art and design. Their composers are artists and designers.

III. Respect

We strive to ensure that chemists, farmers and perfumers around the world receive the respect they deserve.

IV. Clarity

We pledge to write scent descriptions that are reliable and actually descriptive. If we say it, you will smell it.

V. Sampling

We pledge not to resell any complimentary samples we receive. We may instead donate them to a non-profit or educational organization serving the public good.

VI. Disclosure

If we review a fragrance, active contribution or promotion from the fragrance composer, owner or licensee will be disclosed.

VII. Flagging

If you see or smell something, you are welcome to bring it to our attention. We will be scrupulous about facts and oversights.

VIII. A Clean Slate

All fragrances created before signing the pledge are grandfathered in.

1.

daily routine

Smelling is healthy. It is fitness for the brain. By smelling, your brain is flexing muscles and learning a new language. It will not explode but will instead stronger, more agile, and youthful - no matter your age.

2.

daily routine

Close your eyes to smell what the scent is trying to tell you. You can think of a sommelier at work or simply try to enjoy it without overthinking.

3.

daily routine

Breathe naturally: do not force or change your breathing.

To refresh your nose, simply breathe your own clean skin,

No coffee beans please!

4.

daily routine

Science suggests that you and your neighbors actually smell the same components; however, you may just interpret things differently.

5.

daily routine

We are committed to following strict standards of the International Fragrance Association as well as various countries' standards. We use approved ingredients, some little known, some in exceptional proportions. It is advised to try scents first on either a small area of skin that is easily washable with soap and water, or to spray your scent on clothing before putting your clothes on.

6.

daily routine

Hint: clothing and fabric generally retain and diffuse smells much better than skin. Spraying on your clothes instead of your skin will often give you a bigger bang for your buck.

7.

daily routine

Alcohol used in perfumery is exactly the same as the alcohol in your vodka or whiskey. It is just denatured with a bitter agent so that children and adults don’t drink it. Alcohol sprays in a thinner, more delicate mist than water or oil, and it dissolves natural essences in a clear and clean sprayable liquid where water would create an ugly and thick vinaigrette. Alcohol has been the perfumer's best friend since 1370.
